QVS website

The first day at Seven Technology, I was asked to convert an Adobe Illustrator file into a Photoshop file so that it could be made into a website by another member of staff. The website layout was handed to me like this in AI:

It was simply a matter of creating a new layer for each component of the website, and organizing them into groups in the layers panel on Photoshop, so it could be clearly followed. For example, this was the header I was working with, although it had to be split into two components; the company banner on the left and the logos on the right.

These were separate layers, but in the same group so that they could be kept together and moved at the same time if needed.

The process was the same for every single component, except I broke the layout into smaller, more manageable parts which I then made into groups, such as: about us, enquiry form, contact information etc. I found some stock images to put into the placeholders, to give an effect of what it will look like when finished. This is the finished layout on Photoshop, compared to it on Illustrator. This will then be sent to somebody else who will convert it into a website.
